Show us where it says otherwise. When you turn 16, they do not automatically give you a DL, you have to earn it.
You get too many tickets, they take it. Something that is a "right" cannot be taken from you.
Well they do kind of just give it to you. I would hate to be the sorry SOB that can't pass the test to get a license. You have to read a book and answer some questions. Then you have to sit in a car with someone and not get in to an accident for a week. Then you have a license.
You forgot #4, if it wrong and/or unconstitutional fight it.
But I agree with everything after #1

Please show me where it's unconstitutional to levy an additional fine because you were breaking the law. Would you be half as pissed if VA had just adjusted the cost of a reckless driving ticket to $1500 rather then add an additional fine? You'd bitch because it was expensive, but you wouldn't say it was wrong.
People need to STFU. It could be a lot worse here. Shit could be like Europe where you can't get your license until 18 or 21 and tickets cost a fuck ton more or like Cali where they crush your car for racing.

So it isn't like it is difficult.

No, they don't just kinda give it to you. You actually have to do something, which you outlined, to get a license. The DMV doesn't send you a 16th birthday card with an automatic license in it.
Now if they imposed fees like this on murderers that for every person you murder you get an additional fine, or for every child you rape/molest, or for every meth lab you start up would you have a problem with that too?
Driving is a privilege and I also have the privilege to pay property tax for my car every year...that's just fucked up. Everything in this world seems like a privilege if that's how you want to look at it and it's how you want it to be. Just like free speech which we supposedly have the "rights" to but do we? If so, why do we have censorship on the radio? I am not trying to get away from the topic but it just makes me mad to see stuff like this where government wants to do whatever they want.
It's a privilege for the officers and judges to have their jobs but they are screwing us and we are suppose to just bend over? No thanks.
How are they screwing you? They are simply enforcing laws enacted by the gov't. And you'll never have to deal with either one of them if you obey those laws. Your thinking is flawed at best.

If you are tell me that I didn't get screwed by a cop who wrote me down for reckless and I was neither speeding or drinking but I happen to swerve between two lanes twice because the tire pressures were different and it was on a clear road with no cars in sight and it was my first offense. Then I read people posting on here bragging because some cop let the person go because it was their birthday...wow! way to enforce the law there. I have also mentioned that I see on a regular basis where cops speed and run lights and talk on the cell phone while driving.
