That is skewed most likely. Its probably skewed because there are many $500-$700K houses, but a couple $3+ million dollar homes that put the median price up there at that amount..
To the OP, cost of living is thru the roof!!
If you like McLean, consider across the river into Maryland. Prices will be a little cheaper in Montgomery possibly, but still in a great neighborhood like McLean.

I'll be living with another person. Wich means we'll be looking for a two bedroom place. I saw a bunch of the prices and holy shit!! Lol... I might just find a place that's a little outside McLean and just commute.
