Default 94 civic hatchback dx

hello everyone. please help. pretty rusty and dont know a whole lot about the motors themselves.
everything is stock except cluster/audio
problem: white smoke also smells like coolant is coming out of the exhaust. after a long period of time running the motor perhaps driving somewhere for good amount of time and get to point "B". do what i have to do and wait for about so 5-10mins + and try to start the car and go. it takes a lil work to get it started. (pretty sure the spark plugs are heated up so bad, it wont spark) wont spark to start and after a long... period of time, it will most likely start over heating (thermostat is raising). and coolant is also missing and going somewhere other then making sure the resovior stays full.

people say it may be a blown head gasket or something. is it true?

let me know. pm' or reply here.

new motor time because of a head gasket?
compression test would help narrow it down

wouldn't it fail a compression test due to the blown HG? if so, how would that help him narrow anything down?

if it is a daily driver w/ the dx motor still in the car its cheaper to just replace the motor. you can find non vtec single cams for $150/$200 all over the place.

how well will it narrow the sure thing that the head gasket is blown by doing a compession test. i mean. there are leaks. i think there is so much coolant coming back into the resosvior that it just spits out from the top of the resovior. anything else i should consider to find out exactly why there is hard core white smoke with a coolant smell? everyone thanks for the input. thank you
