Ok so i was headed to work this morning and came up to the four way intersection right by my work off aberdeen well the car in front of me a mitsubishi suv i think montero was stopped at our stop sign there are 18 wheelers parked around here so it is hard to get a view of all the streets well as he takes off a car wick i think was a mazda t bones the mitsubishi going like 50 in 25 and flips it the kid in the mitsu was fine his hand was cut pretty bad and he had to kick his windshield to get out now after the guy in the mazda regains conciousness (sp) he tries to punch the kid saying he ran a stop sign. Well after the cop gets their the only witnesses are me and 4 of the mazda guys coworkers so they all say the kid ran it and they write him a wreckless i told the cop we were both stopped and that those are his co workers and they didnt see it cop says ok and drives off WTF

Yeah, does the kid have your contact info? Should go in front of a judge or tell the insurance. Show them its absolutely impossible for someone to stop at a stopsign, then accelerate to 50mph to T-bone this kid.

Well it hard to see who is at fault unless we have a better description of the intersection. If the Speeding car ran a stop sign and nailed the Mitsu then an investigation will determine who is at fault. But if there wasnt a stop sign...even though the Mazda may have been speeding (hard to judge accurate speed) the Mitsu will be at fault.

no, you don't know how fast he was going, you don't run radar. The fact that the suv couldn't see doesn't mean that he wasn't at fault, he failed to yield. He is at fault, you loose.

I was told by a cop in the family that you lose the right of way when you speed. Same shit happened to me. Yes I did stop, and looked both ways and I was in no rush. Dude was hauling ass and skid marks were clearly at least 60ft. Cop told the judge in court that it was only 30. Sucks to be 16 and nobody believes you.
