Got a new WRX - Need to know anything about them
intakes don't add horsepower without a tune, tein s-techs are the worst springs ever, dont launch your car without money for transmission work, ppg gears are bullet proof, EM is your best friend and unabomber is god...

Launch the car all you want in a controlled manner, but stay clear of clutch dropping because that usually results in unfavorable outcomes.
if you feel the urge to get an intake, the SPT unit seems to work well. Some other aftermarket intakes have different pipe diameters which causes problems, but the SPT is the same as stock.
I'd stay away from re-usable filters like the K&N because it seems like whenever a friend gets one we always end up having to clean the MAF afterwords from the oil getting sucked onto it.
having a rear differential cover makes it much easier to jack up the car in the rear
OEM is best when it comes to maintianence items such as oil filters/air filters/ etc

Becarefull will intakes unless your getting a tune soon after.
Subie offsets are the ghey, so look around and be patient about wheels.
An uppipe is an uppipe is an upipe when it comes to the wrx...a gutted stock uppipe is just as good as aftermarket (from what i hear)
Dont try to put your car into 1st if your rolling AT ALL. not even at like 1mph.
The invidia N1 catless turbo back is loud as shit.
You dont need a turbo timer unless you just like some of the extra goodies that come with the HKS type 1.
The trannys are weak...so dont launch abouve about 4-4500 rpms unless you dont plan on having your tranny for any extended amount of time or you have some money in it.
Turboback, uppipe, front mount, and reflash will give you a decent amount of hp above stock.
Your car has nothing under 3000 rpms.
JDM headlights are expensive.
Your stock boost guage is mechanical (if you got that option).

What are you going to do with the subie. I had a 03 with a jdm vf 28 turbo sti injectors up pipe downpipe 3 inch exhaust fuel pump front mount intercooler and boost controller. Now at the time the UTEC was the best thing for it but now good shops can tune the car with the factory computer using a tactrix cable. My car was never tunied to its potential. I sold it and the guy had it tunied and it made like 380 whp. thats good seeing as it your car should make 165 to 180 whp stock. Hope i helped you some!

Not the best idea to get a BOV that doesn't recirc. Turbosmart and several other make 50/50 bov's that vent and recirc.
Blitz Nur Spec TBE is loud as hell also...

i ran M1 for a while and had no problems....but i recently changed to royal purple so even if it is true, it dosnt matter now.
