Default 411 on Xb's

I was wandering if the older Scion xb's were any good as far as comfort and reliability. I know toyota has a great reputation and all, i just wanted know if its worth dropping out of the whole "build up the Honda" scene and just lower one of those, throw some sportmax wheels on it, and just cruise around in that. Racing and fooling around and such are just getting to risky these days. Fill me in please.

If you get one get the old one. If you can wait get the Nissan Cube The new Xb's are ugly.

i'd say you can do better than a Scion. get you something a bit nicer if you just want to cruise, spend more on the car itself since you just want something to lower, and put nice wheels on.

They have horrible crash test ratings... they never feel safe to me when I've ridden in one.

They're pretty decenty cars. I was looking at one for my wife, but she couldn't afford a new car. Very comfortable, Toyota reliable, shitload of space inside. Those things are a miracle of interior room. Definately get the older one though, new ones are uglier.
