In theory, you could drive your car down the street at night, drinking a coke, cops sees you take a drink of your cola and you could be pulled over and searched for probable cause if the officer "thought" it was beer you were drinking
This is how it's been explained to me, someone may be able to explain it better, but that is how I understood the laws since your car is a "moveable crime scene"

Been pulled over for that exact same thing. Just we were on the exit ramp for 495 and wanted to stay on 95 north. Happened right in the beginning of summer when I came home from school. Officer let me go as he understood that I had not been in the area for 9 months and had no idea that 95 had changed like that.
Anyway, NEVER EVER let an officer search your vehicle EVER!!!! Knife wise the blade must be under 3 inches to carry it, that includes your car. Again, never let an officer search your vehicle. A pair of bolt cutters can get you arrested because of the belief that you are possibly stealing something. If they want to search your car, tell them to go get a warrant as you have plenty of time to hang around.

yeah i was reading the laws on how long the blade could be... but i didnt find it.... i've seen that it cant be a dirk or a bowie knife or something like a switchblade etc....etc... and of course butterflies are illegal knives.

yeah my car is silver with black rims... i think i was going to Q-Ball or something. im around VA Centreville, Chantilly, Fairfax and Springfield.
