Every time I hear this I laugh. Someone yelled VW over Honda as they tried to blow by me, he got caught at the light next to me. I said to him, "You would take that VW or this Honda?" I started laughing, his GF turned red, and he was too embarrassed to try and show me up when it turned green.

+1 Welcome, and I dont hate Cavs but I must admit I have only seen one fast one in my life, a turbo Z24 i think, I'm assuming that somebody has made some decent ones, Id be interested to see some pics and specs of those.

 

Well I would I hope I don't come off as an idiot lol. There's really nothing anyone on here can say to piss me off. lol, there's a reason why my sig on clubcav.com says "pwned by blinker fluid". (dumb ass for a day, long story) Clubcav has pretty much prepped me for any kind of comment that could come my way!

Mkay responding to some other statements here. uh.. the reason I say I would never trade my Cavalier in for a Honda is more of a directive statement towards the "stereotypical civic owners". (the slugs with the fart cans and rap music blaring out) In general, I am simply not impressed by anything Honda puts out with the exception of the S2000. I have driven in one of those and they handle beautifully!! But as for the civics...even the Civic Si..I'm just simply not impressed by what Honda puts out. Lol, I don't know why Cavs deserve a special type of thumbs down but at least it's special! lol.

About the arguments that Cav owners get in with Honda owners. Again..directed to the ignorant civic owners (not that all of them are!) and when arguments broke out on the forums it's usually about "who knows more about what they're talking about". I personally don't do this. Why? Because if I know for a fact that I have more automotive knowledge than someone else, it's just a waste of my breath to argue with someone who isn't going to listen to me anyway. If I can tell they have more knowledge than I do then I'll listen! But arguing about who has the better car is just retarted lol!! Those kind of arguments are best settled on the black top!!

Also, in response to the statement about not seeing very many fast cavaliers through time.....I completely agree with you! There is one guy on clubcav in particular that has a turbo charged z24 and he's hitting about in the high 13's. I don't know what else he has done to it but I know for a fact through the dyno charts that he is running in the 13's. Very rare but yet, it's true! Uhm, personally, I know I'm not the fastest on the street and I have no problem admitting that. Even with the modifications I've done to it you can only do so much with a 3spd automatic. Cavaliers are NOT performance cars, they are "fun" cars / show cars. That's about it!
