New viper beats old vette....
How does someone who cannot spell "know" get a Viper and a Vette?
Too bad Vipers are huge pieces of shit. They are fun to drive, fast, and definately a beautiful car, but unfortunately, they are still made by Dodge. They are cheaply built rattleboxes that fall apart. I went from a vette to a viper, then back to a vette. Drive a viper, then drive a vette and you will understand.
driven both. rather have the viper. only thing really that gets annoying on the viper is how the exhaust pipes are ran. can get hot on long drives. and you dont got the basic functions in most cars but who really cares? its not going be a straight dd. its a weekend car.

ive driven from 757 to 804 its not that bad of a drive but ya it can get annoying. but then again its always fun getting the looks on the highway. i havent really had the chance to do a long drive in the vette. personally i like the vettes interior. its more comfortable. i must agree. but you have to love going places and having like 30 ppl around the car at all times. cant really beat the vipers speed though on a stock car.
Very few people on here warrant my attention by actually spewing forth accurate and useful information. I see the trend continues. Not sure who you are blacklabel7470 but from what I've read from your posts, a jaunt in Daddy's cars doesn't make you experienced enough to make an informed opinion about either car. Just my observation.....take it with a grain of salt. Both cars are similar in many ways until one has to make a decision on how they plan on using the car. Any real Viper owner will tell you that it is not a great daily driver but instead a great weekend attention getter.....hence the lack of drink holders and traction control. I personally like both cars and came very close to getting the GTS Coupe until a very respected Viper SCCA driver (John Freeman) told me to get the Z06. So far I am happy that I get significantly better gas mileage, fanfuckingtastic performance and daily usability from this car. If I really wanted to wow people and get attention, then the Viper is by far a better choice.....it is a beautiful car. Is the vette perfect? Hell no.....my girlfriends G35 has nicer amenities and build quality. I think it's awesome that Dodge upped the ante after getting their ass whooped for the last three years. The consumer benefits from this horsepower war.
Take the time to read a pretty decent article from here:

A. They do not own the car, but Dad, brother, cousin, or family friend does.
B. 16-18 years old and it was a birthday present.
They are now experts in the performance, handeling, and the finer point of interior design. Somehow the very car that they drive crushes everything in existance, and the sole reason it is better is because the amount of people who walk up to it when you park it. Wow, you get people to walk up to your car when you park it..... So does my Camaro, but I hardly would believe it is because it is better.
So Rich in closing next time you purchase a performance car, you should pick the one that draws more of a crowd in a parking lot, not that weak ass shit you drive now! OMF for the win...
