I need a 98-02 Honda accord key. Is the dealer the only way to get one cut and programmed? Can anyone reccomend a better place to get a spare key made?

 

Dealership is the only one I know of. Shit ain't cheap either.

 

Old keys? Home depot or Ace Hardware

New Keys? PRetty much the dealership

 

The key has the transponder in it and has to be programmed. I didnt know if maybe somebody knew of a locksmith that could do this type of thing cheaper. I hate to take it to the dealer. I havent even checked the price yet cause Im sure I dont want to know.

 

transponder keys have to be programmed by the dealer bro.

 

Anything else other than the dealership is too much of a hassle. Sorry to say.

They have a sign that says they do keys w/ programs. check it out.

 

Theres really tons of places that do this man. As a matter of fact I actually shopped, called around and had them beat eachothers prices. Just have to do some quick searching. Probably faster than it wouldve took for you to post this.
