Help:350z or S2000
not to burst your bubble.. but most the dudes that buy e46's m's have more money than driving skills. and i do agree that e36's are better on track, but they lack in the HP dept. IMO..
Every time I see a 350 I think it looks like an underpowered overweight 911. Same shape, but fatter with less power.
The s2000 is a driver's car, everything is at the reach of your finger tips, the cabin is actually a cockpit and feels like being inside a combat jet. The 350 made me feel.... kind of exposed in the wide-open interior. I think I'm agoraphobic, so I may be biased. I was impressed with it's abilities on the test drive, but not overly impressed by any means. I guess I should say that the 350 exceeded my expectations, but I really didn't have stellar expectations for it.
I love the S because it is nimble, with a well thought out interior, lines that were drawn in heaven, F1 style cluster, HUGE fenders, and more noise coming from up front that out back (with the stock exhaust at least).
I mean who doesn't like being able to take it to 9K?

the 4 banger it has provides anemic power. 240 hp 150 tq.? im a honda proponent.. but 150 tq. good god. the s2k is a light car so it doesn't need gobs of power to make it go.. but i think it'd be sweet with about 100 more tq. and 40 or so more HP.IMO. id rather roll around with 287hp and 280ish tq. although even that's not all that great. modded 350z's (non FI) have kept up with me, not to say my car is fast but that VQ is doing something right.

This forum is going to be honda biased - both similar, yet night and day differnt. What do you like, dislike about each? I noticed you also said something about a backseat? How about a G35 6spd Coupe?

this is a good response to everything
an L6 would be good because it still can mantain good balance, but be a little bigger and make decent power with decent torque.. if honda made a 2.8 litre L6 it'd have a NICE 336 hp (assuming they could get the 120hp/litre).

To whoever said our 2.0L N/A car is slow:
I ran a 13.9 @ 100 w/2.0 60' with my 01' s2k when it was STOCK. And I stopped trying after that due to it's my DD. It really is a drivers car so don't call it slow just b/c you suck at driving it. I'm sorry but those numbers impress the hell out of me for what it is. And it was never intended to be a fast car in a straight line.
+1. And no, this forum is NOT at all honda biased. I only agree with that statement when speaking on civics and such. I've just recently moved from an Evo to an S2k. I've driven both a 350 and the s2k. The s2k is by far a way more fun car to drive. But that's just my opinion. And I also think it's one of the few cars that looks good with the top up and down. The 350z vert is ugly as hell with the top up. And to say it has 300 crank hp, it's ungodly unimpressive. I walked them all day in my Evo when it was bone stock. 350s are nice, but I'd take the s2k.
