Heater Core
Hey guys..................I have a 1995 Civic Dx Coupe 5 speed engine # D15b7
My heater core recently went out and I need to find some where to get it fixed thats not gonna cost me an arm in leg. The last price estimate I recieved was 279.00 not inc the parts which I already have baught. Is there anyone out there that can help me?
Noises I hear when driving just incase its not the heater core lol
Loud gurgle noise when shutting the car off behind the glove box kinda like its over heating but it isnt.
Light fizing noise near glove box when driving with a/c off.

mike button it lol............I aint payin no freakin $279 plus $58 for the heater core. I'm not out of my mind. there labor is like $60+ per hr. It's already costing me $155 just to get them to adjust valves, re-time, ac charge. I dont have no 500$ to spend.
I was told. I could possibly take the glove box out and unbolt the heater core and take it out and put the new one in , in less than an hour.........DUNO if that was true or not. I think im gonna get someone to bypass it for now i can live without heat its still summer.

Would work except youd have to splice together some heater hoses or dump all your anitfreeze all over the place....heater cores are a biotch to replace

Yeah im getting the jist of that now. Guy at A&M MOBIL REPAIR said they have a Supra there now with a bad heater core and its gonna take the guy 2 days to get fixed. They estimated mine at 6.2 hrs of labor. freaking cars are such a pain in the rear sometimes.
