I can't argue with that! Nissan doesn't make a bad car! Yea, the Z-24's have power but the number one complaint I hear from Z-24 owners is that the 2.4 Liters have the most problems of all the Cavalier models. I'm happy with my 2200, it's no where near a monster but it's a very reliable engine and she sounds good with decent exhaust mods. Cavs are mostly for show and no go.

I don't think Chevy makes the greatest cars in the world either but I am impressed by the 2009 Cobalts! Yea, true, I've been in enough true sport cars to know what it's supposed to feel like and an automatic cav just doesn't pull it off but they can be fun to drive!
You don't see a lot of hondas that would rape a cav? Honestly, there are tons of memebers on this board with STOCK hondas that would rape a cav. Not trying to be rude, but you don't get out much if you honestly think cavaliers are even worth being mentioned in a tuner/modifier conversation and talked more about than hondas. Show me one cavalier that's mildly quick, and I'll show you 10 hondas that would blow it out of the water.

He's probably got one of the fastest cavs on my forum. I believe he's hitting somewhere in the 12 second range.

Your probably right though, I probably don't get out enough but in my area I don't see that many civics that would blow by a cavalier, except for two guys in newport news. One guy I raced myself and he completely surprised me, he had a k20....it was sad for me but another guy around here I'm pretty sure is using boost. Other than those two guys I don't see many Honda's that blow my mind. But by all means, prove me wrong! I'm open minded!!

Talking Re: Cavalier Owners???

I had to register to reply to all of the haters of cars in general.
It amazes me that in the 30 years I've been working on cars, tuning them, and helping others with their rides, people can be so crass to others that seem to have far superior cars.

What makes you think that all of your cars are so good?
You know that there are always better cars out there that will hand you your ass in every way imagineable.
What would you do then.

I too happen to own a Cavalier and have probably put more money into it, more wrenching, and more innovative modifications than most could ever think of.
It's not fast but that's fine for now because when it's all said and done with, it will be able to do everything well, in spite of what all of the "superior" car owners think of the lowly Cavy.

It's unfortunate too that most of the responses on here are not open minded to what Cavies or any other car is capable of, especially if you put the time and effort into it's worth.

Last thing I've got to say before the flame tree comes on fire is that I love all cars.
Every car I see I think of positive things with the exception of the person that just doesn't get it.
There's so much to learn from every car that is out there and to take that time to learn it, make it better, is something that every car guy can appreciate.

I know this isn't the best way to introduce myself either but I just had to inject some of the old school philosophies of what I've learned with my old school muscle car, sport compact car, and daily driver which gets more attention than most so called 'tuners'.
Thank you for listening.
