I worked in a restaurant where the bartender would average $1500 on Fri/Sat. nights and close to $1k other nights.

How come bartenders don't ever appear that wealthy then? I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just curious. I know DOCTORS who only make like $600 a day.

 

How many bartenders do you know personally and where do they work?

Now compare that to EVERY bartender in America and I'm sure you'll find a few that are pretty wealthy.

yea you can make a lot of money but some nights are jus slow.. and out at ocean front in the winter time.. the tips just are not there right now... so.. it sucks. ;(

also most people who bartend suck at saving money.. imean you walk out with cash everynight... most of it will never make it into the bank they'll blow it before then. (no all jus saying most people are this way and that is why you might think they dont make any money)

I personally know bartenders mad_dohc just like you, and if you really want to prove this topic we can go to your "rich bartender" friends job every night and count how much money he leaves with. waiters/bartenders average very closely btw so whoever likes to reference them to prove me wrong is a idiot. when i was 18 i delivered for domino's pizza hut and i came out with a 100 dollars a night easily as well. but the truth of the matter is i didnt average it, its not gauranteed. At the most a bartender will make 35k. Prove me wrong plz, i will sign up for the next bartending class

 

btw kids, this guy claims his bartender friend makes over 72,000 a year only working weekends. just some number crunchin for ya man what are those engineers thinkin goin to school for 4 years just to make what a bartender makes in 6 days out of the month?! and he also averaged 1k other nights?! wow this guy broke 100k just pouring drinks!. you should seriously think about the numbers here kid.
