Default Racing lead to fatal accident

Not sure if anyone has heard but a buddy of mine was involved in a serious accident which lead to his death. His name was David Brandt, a great and friendly guy. I met him a few months back, has always been pleasant, gave me a ride in his Evo before.

There are a ton of articles everywhere but here is one with an article, video and pictures at NBC4.

http://www.nbc4.com/news/14820363/de...=headlineclick

Apparently he was racing a Silver BMW 3 series on 495 and he lost control on the exit ramp to Gallows Rd. You can see in the video, he lost control and skidded through the grass/leaves area and direct impact to a tree, they said he died instantly.

This guy has dumped a lot of money and worked on his car endlessly, and its an unfortunate accident that we all don't wish to happen. I'm still trying to figure out what happened whether he was racing and happend to be on the lane to exit and didn't know, hence losing control, or perhaps the race was already over and he just wanted to fly on the exit ramp at high speed.

The State Police Dept are on the look out for the BMW, I believe there is a number there if anyone has any info that they can share on the website.

My condelence goes out to his family and RIP David.

For the rest of us, I know its fun to hook our lil cars and what not, but be careful when you decide to street race because anything can happen, and of course the worst of it will lead you to death and perhaps to others as well.

we lost a good friend. Dave was a good guy and will be missed by many. It's sad that he left us this way but I know he is in a better place now.

Our prayers and condolences to his family. We will remember Dave for the good person that he was.

RIP. My heart goes out to his family and I hope he passed quickly and without pain.

I encourage everyone to watch the news video in the initial post by Tony. The neighbor says a tragic but compelling quote at the end of the interview.
