its dark gray primer. i don't have money for paint and i am painting it flat black in the spring till i get money for a good paint job. I put my family before my car. I would rather have food for my lady to eat and a roof over our head then f###in paint on my car.

 

...So you'd rather have primer? What was wrong with the paint underneath the primer?

 

the car sat under a tree for a long time. The paint all cracked and was faded and pealing. I tryed satin with a rattle can. I am bad at painting so it turned out really uneven toned.

 

You can paint a car for like 800 bucks don't be cheap.

 

wtf? $800 would be being cheap. stick with the rattle can paint untill you have enough money to get a decent paint job.

 

if i had 800 bucks i would not spend it on paint it would go into a turbo kit!

The car needs body work as well some small dents and the rear panels small spots of rust. I don't plan on keeping this car forever so the main concern right now is motor.

I could work a deal with a friend and get it painted for cheap but still the paint alone would be more than 1000 for a good job.
