Intake manifold
no but really, i didnt have the money when i bought this car and new what i wanted to do with it when i bought it. i re-enlisted into the navy a few months ago for 67k and they gave half of it to me up front.
besides, i like the sound of 400whp base cobalt. makes a nice OMG kind of are you kidding to mind. lol
there is one guy on the forums at cobaltss.net that is putting down 262whp on 8psi of boost w/ a completely stock engine in his 2.2L base cobalt. thats more then what the SS/supercharge cobalt puts down w/ the stage 2 GMPP upgrades.
how is it analog, the digital computer tells the survo to move the gear that drives the throtle. im under the impression anything cable driven is analog?
There are a few types of drive by wire throttles, most are analog feedback though, they use a throttle position sensor for feedback and output a square wave signal (or two, if they use an H-bridge) to control the motor. This way the ECU knows where the throttle plate is and can adjust the drive signal (with a PID control or whatever their strategy is) to the right position.
There are also serial and CAN network throttles, which send their position back to the ECU digitally. They have the nice advantage being immune to electrical noise..

No, like I said in the previous post and this one... only vettes.... and yes your PCM is tuneable... click the link in my sig/profile to see how I know.
i dont have a 2.0 supercharged cobalt or the 2.4L cobalt. the 2.2's are not tuneable. they are flashable if you get the garret kit that includes SCT flash but you have to have a manual tranny, i do not. its automatic. that is why i have the AEM f/ic
dude... Almost ALL LS1 TBs ARE cable driven. There are a buttload more LS1s from F-bodies out there than vettes. And yes, as you mentioned, our cable driven TBs are analog. The sensor gets +5vdc and a reference (ground) and returns some % of the sensor's voltage against the reference.
