aftermarket converters only bring like $10. only factory converters are really worth any money. what brand are the aftermarket units? i may be able to use them. are they both the same?

 

a guy brought me one off a 03 superduty diesel. let me know what kind of money we are talking. there is a place i was going to take it but i have trouble getting by there with my work hours.

lol your so full of bs any import cat is worth $100 Minumum. Honda civic $120 at a recycler, . DO NOT sell this guy your cats he will just take them to a recycler himself and make pure profit.

Just to let you all know it’s illegal to buy and sell used catalytic converters to people without a license. I just thought I would share to cover your own butts the person posting and people selling. I wouldn’t advertise your doing things illegal. There are ways to get around it but I am not going to go into detail. Go on epa’s site and read it its 100+pgs of stuff on catalytic converters.

 

I'm pretty sure its not illegal to sell them if you list them as scrap and not to be installed on a car. The problem comes when you list them as good cat converters. The epa wants them recertified before they are installed on anything. At least thats how it used to be and thats how ebay still makes you list them. If its changed post up the new laws.
