unless you know something i dont, it wouldnt be convenient filling it up at hardware stores, and apparently propane kits will lose hp.
also, i wouldnt mind having a backseat, that ones completely caged off with a tank back there
its a propane rig. ive seen that one and pm'd the guy about it

cool, im not sure how hilly that trip was, but its good to know it can be done.
ive already talked to divinney a pretty good amount, and possibly am going to check out a 88.5 stock one that ive already driven. hes definitely the authority on these. im also registered on zuwharrie and im checking that site pretty often
so im thinking now with 33's and 5.12s it would be a struggle to get it up to radford. with teh 5.38s it should do better, but what type of rpm's could i expect at around 70mph?
also keep in mind, this isnt a one trip thing... im going to have to drive it back and forth probably once every months.
the good news is that that drive is as bas as it well get. at radford the speed limit is mostly 25, and going to tech and ferrum (girlfriend) its all back roads.
back in chesapeake the worst it will see is 64/264
im really really wanting one, and honestly nothing else is comparable offroad for the money, i just need to be positive itll make the drive
thanks again

and definently a no on the propane rig. i wouldnt trust that on that drive. buy a stocker from Sean and get him to put 16v in it. even a 1.6 8v would be good for that drive. and is less expensive. which would give you more money for lift parts and stuff. speaking of which. do not buy a rocky road yj kit. just a word of advice. haha
my old rig might still be for sale. all it would need is some gears. search ZU for sale section for the 91 coil suspension rig. being sold by BAY BOGGER. its set up. already EFI which runs GOOD. just a thought though.
broncomx would be best bet to ask about the highway speeds of 5.38 and 33's. as his has that set up.

it looks like if i get one i should try to find a stock good condition 88ish and go ahead and get the 1.6 swap over with this summer. then look for 33's, a lift and gears.
opinions still welcome
also, if anyone knows whats the average cost of a 1.6 swap?

whats the deal with 1.3efi's
id think they respond better to bolt ons like header/exhaust, i know personally id rather mess with efi than carb.
ive got one to look at soon and its relatively cheap, 140k miles though!

I have a 1.3efi. It runs great. I haven't done anything to it other than exhaust. I was thinking of adding a header but I think I am going 1.6 16v route instead. But there are plenty of people who love the 1.3efi and built them up pretty nicely
thanks for all the help guys.
ive pretty much made up my mind to get one and do the 33s with 5.12 gear route
and
either some perf. bolt ons to the 1.3 or save for a 1.6 swap, but that will be determinted later
