This is not true. The current Teslas in production are not meeting their "claimed" times. They are having extreme transmission issues. Try 5.7 seconds.

I guess that the Edmunds.com website is wrong then.. I read that article you posted, pretty informative.. Looks like the early production cars will be the only ones with the 5.7 0-60 times.. Until the transmissions are swapped out for the newer units...

Yes. I'd be quite pissed if I waited that long and paid that much for a car that didn't perform
This may go the way of Delorean on account of the transmission issues. Replacing every purchesed model's tranny with a new one at no cost to the owner doesn't sound too profitable. I'm sure they have done cost evaluations but it does say that they're relying on volume to make up for the sunk costs which could go very wrong for them.
I hope not though because I like the car and I think it's a step in the right direction... so long as I dont have to get rid of my internal combustion cars when I'm older
