THE HOLDEN UTE is coming!!
The name Pontiac was introduced by General Motors but it was actually a conglomeration of several coachworks that were placed under one roof, and out of those Pontiac survived as the dominant brand. But either way it has no bearing on what constitutes a division and the brand. Both examples are brands offered by a parent company, whether that brand existed on it own before being purchased has no bearing on making it anymore antonymous from its parent company. As far as being right, they did not make a split grill they have always been split grills since the 60’s. Every Pontiac has a split grill, whether it is functional or not.
Finally not all Pontiacs have shared Chevy engines, that did not occur until the late 70’s and early 80’s. In fact some of today’s Pontiacs use an engine from Opel or even Holden. Pontiac only has one model that currently shares the similar body components as Chevrolet. Glad to clear that up for you.

the g8 is a holden product with a gm drivetrain. g6 is a GM platform coming from the malibu. the g5 is a essentially a chevy cobalt. all of which have GM motors.
The G5 is a Mexican and Canadian product that already existed and a shared platform for several other brands, it is not distinctly a Chevy or Pontiac. Thanks for playing.... Even if you were right one other vehicle is hardly worth making a blanket statement of all Pontiacs share Chevy body parts......

So, in other words, I am right. I can't believe you're trying to discredit what I said with such inane nonsense. The point is: you were wrong when you said "there's only one model." Introducing red herrings and attempts at distraction only prove how horrible you are at this.

Ok. so how is pontiac it's own company again? It doesn't have its own engine. and maybe 2 bodies that are just pontiac.

The G8 does not share a complete GM drive train, which depends on the model you select, you could have a Holden engine powering that G8. Wow so the G6 shares a platform, but it does share the same body and engine parts, thanks for clearing that up. The G5 is a shared platform for many brands, it is not singular to one specific brand, and can vary as to what you find under the hood.
Who said its own company? I specifically stated it is a division of General Motors it is its own brand, what is so hard to understand about that? So what if it does not have its own engine? That is good business to utilize parts across the board. Why change you statement about “All Pontiacs share Chevy body parts and engines”? Because now you know how stupid that statement sounds and how incorrect that is.

Pontiac is GM mid-level line.
Chevy>Pontiac>Cadillac
just as
Ford>Mercury>Lincoln
It is just a higher end chevy. that is all.
And aside from that, what other brand re-badges the G5/Cobalt?

It does not fulfill the statement he made in the first place. All Pontiacs share Chevy engines and Body parts. It is not a Chevy product, the Delta platform is not a Chevy, it is a shared platform for several divisions and is not associated with one specific brand. The Corvette for example is a Chevy product and therefore if another division shares the platform like the Cadillac CTSV for example it would therefore infer that the Cadillac CTSV shares both the same engine and body parts of the Chevy Corvette. That is a true statement, the platform was specifically designed for the Vette and Cadillac adopted it for use with the CTSV.
Opel, Saturn, and Holden……..
No you are wrong, see above for explanation, it is not that hard to understand.
