just a note... it's been shown that sandblasting with sand is pretty bad for aluminum wheels; it weakens the internal crystalline structure of the wheel. Now, does that mean your wheel will esplode when you ride on them? no. But I'd be wary if I tracked it.
Media blasting either with silicone beads or newspaper is recommended for aluminum. It takes longer, yes, but it's better for the wheel.
There is also some debate as to whether powdercoating is bad for aluminum wheels also - specifically the baking them part. There have been numerous examples of powdercoated wheels failing (esploding) at the lugs. The failures cannot be completely attributed to the powdercoating process, though. Also, 90% of the failures have been on high HP/TQ cars - Z06s, 911 carreras, etc, so that might be part of it... hard to say.
just FYI. As always with the intarwebs, take it with a grain of salt, but forewarned is forearmed...

hey i could do blasting on rims if needed. let me know what you need, i can do any size. i also can strip or sand blast valve covers. anything you need let me know.
edit: we use glass bead media for aluminum or aluminum oxide guaranteed not to pit the metal. we also have the best prices around on powdercoating so hit us up for a qoute guys.

i can do it at my shop in chesapeake 100.00 for a set of bike rims or 300.00 for car rims as long as there not over 18" valve covers 45.00
