What do you think about the Ford Edge?
I'm 98% sure I'm going to get an Edge when I get back from deployment. I need something that has a little more room then a CObra and a Mini Cooper
and I don't have the need for a full size truck

Adam, I don't know if there's something you like in the GM lineup, but they are having amazing deals on financing. 72 months with 0% interest.
EDIT: And I like the Edge as well. I think they're fresh looking and offer tons of options/versatility for their price.

My only thing w/ Ford is that the small things always seem to crap out so quick (like power windows, cigarette lighter, power mirrors, a/c knob). Happened w/ my brand new '03 Ranger, and a friend's brand new Focus. Heard about it on some forums too, and I think it's indicative of the way they build their vehicles.

My ex has had issues with her new Solstice and they are always quick to let her drop it off, fix whatever is wrong with it under warranty, and give her a rental in the meantime. With my GTI, the service manager offered to give me a ride rather than a rental after I waited all day.... LOL!
I think a Ford would be relatively cheap and easy to maintain, and they would likely stand behind their product at least more so than my previous experience with another brand.

The Edge is a cool looking car, especially in the copper color. The Journey is out, the Dodge dealer by my house has had one out front for 2 weeks.
Has anybody messed around with sync yet? Is it any good?
I like the Edge but I like the Lincoln version better.
Oh and buying slightly used FTW, even if you have to wait longer.

Ugh the Lincoln version is fucking hidious. Sync is actually quite cool and useful. Only downfall is if the bluetooth piece is hooked in with your phone everyone hears the conversation over the speakers.
