Shelor opens April 4th.
the first trip out there usually sucks. You pay 10-12 bux to get in, 10-15 in gas, and you get to make 1-2 runs. Just don't get it.
I'd love to do some more racing this year, but its time for the 1/4 mile. This 1/8mile crap is BS. I don't have the gearing or the RPM's for it, and its a waste of time, though its still fun.

Yeah that's what I meant. I'm "guessing" it's anywhere from 125-128 on pump gas in the 1/4 judging by the "track time" list and comparing 1/8th mile stuff, but bench racing sucks.
I doubt I could go much faster than my previous mph (ET could be drastically improved if I could stick) on my current setup. That run was pretty lean, and knocked a good bit so maybe there is room for improvement. My stupid ass showed up there that night with no wideband, and I just let her rip. I didn't make any adjustments to the fuel trims as I had no idea on the a/f's.
I think it's time to play with race gas, now that I have a wideband. Maf overrun concerns me but I can tune using fakemaf enabled and adjust the VE through dsmlink.
Even then, I still have no cage, and 1/4mile tracks tend to be even more strict. What tracks prep well on test and tune btw? Any suggestions?
I found that my airflow is being underestimated the other day during a log, so my lb/min should increase to what it really is once I adjust. I've got spring fever! The car is running great and coming together which turns me away from wanting to sell.

andrew, just be a man and go to a 1/4 mile track...lol
i love VIR, after racing there, Orlando Speed World, Gainesville and Valdosta, I would have to say VIR is probably the best prepped... However, when they do prep Valdosta and Gainesville, they are fast tracks... Valdosta is great when prepped, as the first 100 or so feet is concrete, so amazing 60' get cut there... Also, if you are willing to make the trip, go to ATCO, as that is where you will get your best time because it is sea level and is a downhill track...
ps- i would harbor a guess that your car would trap in the 118 range, as EVO's, Talon's and Eclipses down here that run similar 1/8 mile traps to yours run between 115-120...

I used to live about 20 mins from Atco, man I miss it. Great prep there, even on a T&T night. But it's about a six hour drive from here
Haven't raced at VMP yet, heard it's a good track tho, looked nice when I went there for the TF race last October. Haven't even raced at Shelor yet for that matter, just NB.
New engine should be done next week, I can't wait to get this thing back on the road!

when i go some where to t-n-t, i usually go to vmp in petersburg or i go to masondixon in hagerstown,md.
both of these tracks do really good in the track prep for
t-n-t days. as both tracks are NHRA 1/4 tracks. also your car will have to pass their tech safety rules....
