Well theres not much more I feel I need to say after reading everyone else's comments. Obviously owning a GSX I would love a local awd dyno, instead of having to drive to altered atm. However it is pricey, so its a big decision.

I have seen enough good comments come from people here on the forums that you have helped out, to have already recommended you to anyone local who is looking to go to a shop to have a repair done, so if you were to open up a shop I'm sure the same would be done for that shop. In addition I also have a good bit of DSM friends from the region who would also love the chance to truly dyno their car and get some nice tuning done that way, so I'm sure I'd help out as much as I could from my end. I'd love to see an AWD dyno open so I'd definately do my best to get the word out to the ones I know, and with it being 2wd/awd it enables the rest of my friends the ability to come as well.

Take your time, plan everything out, and dont just jump into something that will put you over your head, but if you do start it up you'll have my support.

also, i may be in need of a GOOD tech...someone who knpows what they are doing. hell...might see if i can get me a straight SR20 guy.........who knows. be the only local shop doing swaps for people......who knows
JOEY
I prefer a dynojet 248c, for the simple reason that that is the only dyno I have ever used, and its important to keep it consistant.

I happen to know a thing or two about sr20's . To bad im not a "GOOD" tech, lol, but if you need any info or help, let me know.

and i know its gonna be full long dayus..buyt lets face it....i already do that!!! ask some kids around here, and more importantly, my incredibly supportive girlfriend....sorry babe, but thanks for bein there for me even though i am not around alot. so, i am used to long hours...believe me!!!

the website for my company should be up in a month or so, still working on that. i already have buisiness liscenses, and tax id #'s....i hve been a dealer for Worldone Performance for three months now...and Gruppe-s just came online this week. my buy-ins are getting worked on. i am trying to do that with my own money, as time allows. i already have shelled out over 15k into starting this...for equipment, liscensing, web design, etc. friends have been helping a lot, and i do appriciate them, ALOT!!!

now, i need to get the initial proposals done, might have to wait for a year on the dyno, but an align machine is a MUST! like i said....if need be, general auto repair can be done....i just dont wanna have to. i looooove performance, as many of you may know...and am just beginning to get tired of the "everyday" customer/car. just so many Volvo's you can work on.....hehehe

anyway....i must stop my ramblings and get back to work...my real job right now....but, i would like any help you can give, Wagz. THANKS MAN!!! BTW....get the hoe here...i need to try to get that align better for ya.....best i can.

JOEY

ps...any one that wants to stop by and see me about this....you know where i work! gonna be at Cosmos shop tonight, workin on the graphics for the wagon...........hehehehehhe
cool bro - sounds like you got your ducks in a row (or at least getting them there). I would think your idea for a dyno after a year is probably a good idea, they are so damn expensive especially for a 4 wheel dyno. I wish ya the best on it and of course i'll always throw u referrals as i do now!
oh btw - i'll get the hoe into you sometime the week after next, she's been at the b'shop getting matching paint w/ the z - i dont get her back till friday and then leave saturday for a week to go to NH for a big national Z convention.
Thanks,
Wagz

but for those ego freaks and dyno queens...a mustang dyno is a no no. they average about 20-30 hp less than all the other dynopacks and dynodynamics dyno's. id personally rather have a real number than even if its a little bit lower.
thats interesting cuz the guys on the z forum always curse mustang dynos as being notorious for giving higher than true hp readings.

all dynos are gonna give different readings....you will never pull the same #'s twice..thats why you make a few pulls to get a baseline. hell....air differences can change 5hp! but, i like the mustang the best...due to its ease of setup, and ability to handle the full load launch. i ilked that feature....the dynapack is kinda hard to setup, due to it having to bolt onto the wheel hub. longer setup, but it is portable...kinda
the mustang was quoted to me at 68k, plus 5k for lift and setup for a above ground install....i have checked some!

Just wanted to make my voice heard, especially since this also means a lot to me personally and Joey doesn't have AIM access now for me to say my part

Start out slowly..build your business base...then do the dyno...get the idea in people's heads...let them see how magnificently wonderful you are ...and when you do finally get the dyno installed, you'll have customers already there to take advantage of it (i.e. help pay it off)

<personal note to Joey>
Otherwise - I luv ya babe you are awesome at what ya do and will do good either way, if it doesn't work out RIGHT NOW..ALL AT ONCE....keep on pushin' through...a real hard head like you will eventually get it all worked out!
Furthermore, If I think you're getting too worried or stressed, you can be sure I'll be there to jerk ya back in line ....*SMOOCH*

joey best of luck with the business....KEY THING TO KEEP IN MIND
this is a college town, be careful with credit cards, but you will have about 3 times during the year that your sales are going to shoot through the roof, beginning of fall and spring semester and during the summer!!
pretty much after financial aid payback and after the holidays!

that is just my personal opinion
i could be wrong but that is the majority !!

best of luck again......IF YOU NEED WORKERS CALL ME, I NEED A JOB!!!! will work for car parts or more preffered $$$$$

safe to say you have some of my biz already
hey whats up, think i met up at NB, you have the red srt4 right?

one of my friends is actually thinkin about the same thing.. i think alot of ppl think about it but noone does it. I think it would be great, lots of ppl would go, most would probably be 1 time cuz we have so many ricers out here, theyd make like 100whp and never come back haha.. i think roanoke has got to be the rice capital of the world.. theres some nice cars around there..

from all the talk about a dyno it would seem that everyone has forgotten about the 2.5million dollar shop in Bristol, Motor Mavericks, with the all wheel drive dyno (only 2 hours away, not 4) and more cash backing then any shop on earth. T-minus less then a year till they are out of business.
