That's why YOU would buy it...

It's a performance machine that was built for a purpose and it performs that function very well, esp. for the time period it was introduced. I'm pretty sure that's why it is the great automobile that is world reknowned. Not because of it's "style" or "uniqueness". It's a long-life, affordable (used) supercar made by a manufacturer that was currently producing econo boxes at the time it was made. And as a supercar it preformed aginst other supercars and did an amazing job.

I don't appreciate the NSX for it's looks or how rare it is. It was built to do something better than other cars and it did just that. That's why I would buy one. I can't wait for Honda to step out with the next modern class leader.

So I looked through this thread, and never found a response to this. There's not many 19yos that a bank will give a 30k loan to for a 15yo car, and when they do, it turns into a 50k car from the interest rates.

If you get one for $25K it needs $5K worth of work. If you get one for $20K it needs $10K worth of work. That's for a '91-'92. Then there's this: They are next to impossible to finance. See if you can find one to drive. While you're driving it ask yourself if it's worth going through all the trouble to come up with $30K for a 15 year old V6 Honda. Chances are the answer will be "Yes."

Then get back to us.

right when i bought mine, I had to drop $3k right away, to make sure everything was not leaking, and of course have that peace of mind.

every 5-6 years the timing belt has to be changed. I've owned my for almost 6 years already so I have to get mine done soon. Hall Acura quoted my friend $2200.

Every 15,000 miles you have to get a valve job. Hall Acura charges around $500 I believe.

Hig maintenence cost but super reliable. might i add the gas mileage is awsome.

I was quoted the same on a Timing Belt / Water Pump from Hall. Never ended up looking into a Valve Adjustment though. Purchased mine (2001) at 14k miles, then sold it at 26k miles. The idle was fine and ticking wasn't anything out of the ordinary.

We did quite a bit of maintenance to it as we sold it though... cooling system flush, brake system flush, and transmission fluid flush.
