My car doesn't seem to enjoy the 110 as much as I'd like for it to. Shes a bit knock happy around 72-7500
Thats weird, I shift at 7500 on a stock DSM valvetrain with 272s on 93octane @23ishpsi with no knock issues. I assume your running more boost then me though.
All my knock issues are at extremely low throttle
its annoying

His setup is no where near stock. So you're comparing apples and oranges.
Yeah I'm surprised as well, is your tune aggressive?
Less timing at peak than pump gas.
Maybe 1.5-2 more pk tq up to ~7000. I think I could get away with more in the midrange, but I'd rather have a smooth ignition curve than a bell shaped...
I usually run BPR7es's gapped at .028. The BR7es is non projected and from what I understand less prone to knock. I've read that the 8's are pretty cold plugs, if the 7's don't work I'll try them.
Try 8 plugs gapped in the 22-24 range. They can suck on startup sometimes especially on 116 in strange weather.. but aren't too bad.
I dunno how much I trust 110 past 32-33 PSI though.

Are you sure it's real knock? Only problem with the EMS is that while it sees everything... it counts everything... doesn't do any filtering, so if you have a loud motor, like my motor in my car is built pretty loose, so the knock sensor is pretty much useless at high RPM. Sometimes you just have to go by the dyno graph shape and the plugs if the knock sensor signal is too polluted. I've had to do it more times than I'd have like to on cars that had mystery motors and god knows what going on in them causing all kinds of stupid knock sensor noise.
I tried the boost control on my car when I first installed the EMS and couldn't get it to work well. That was the first time I had tried it, I've since gotten it to work great on a bunch of cars though. Hit me up on AIM or something and I can tell you the method I use.
tranny back out again, one of the disks on the twin disk is stripped out where the input shaft goes through. i guess ill fix it again will be back on the road again soon!!!
