How to improve my 2000 Honda Civic VP 4dr.
if i were you just lower it, put some nice wheels, and a lip kit. keep it like an econo box and save your money to buy another car and build off of that. By the looks of this post, this is your only transportation. You would enjoy two vehicles, one you drive daily and one that you just totally have fun at the track. And with Gasoline prices going up, driving a car that has alot of modification sucks up a lot gas.
yeah, its my daily.
thats also a good idea but might take a while seeing as i play showcase baseball in the summer and play for my high school...so i cant dedicate my life to my job and making money all the time...but i think this is definitely a consideration.

yeah man, i prefer the late 90's and up...
I'd trade you no doubt as long as the car was in pretty decent shape, just gotta get the title from my mom since it was in her name...and the cash thing could be arranged dependin on the car....
but yeah, deffinitely hit me up w/ a pm if you get a hold of one.

I had a y7 in my car. The intake manifold sucks on them, the oil pumps aren't too great when you modify them heavily or beat the motor heavily with it being stock, they have a three wire IACV that you have to re-wire in and out of the car when doing an intake manifold swap. It will take about the same amount of money to make the y7 just as fast as a cheap LS. I already went through the Y7,y8,z6, mini me stage. The only setup i miss really, is my mini-me turbo.
what you could do to improve the performance is slap a y8 head on it and computer. that will take the hp up a little. nice exhaust and intake. that will help you out on passing people in the slow lane. just remember if you want to buy a 5 speed later save all your parts and put your car back to stock and put all the new stuff on the new car. just make sure its around the same year.

p.s. you're still here?
and to the op I think wheels and a drop would probably be your best bet until you have more time to do the swap.
definitely get a lip kip, it improves the look of the vehicle greatly
if u would like a pic of a 2000 civic with a front lip just pm me ur email adress and ill send u a few of mine..i just put it on today and it looks great and only takes like 30 minutes or so

i think cleckner's got the best idea...just gotta stick with the 96-00 civics i suppose.
ill prob get a system in it here pretty soon =]
nice wheels, lip kit, and lowered will be the next thing.
and if i dont have the 5 spd by then i guess ill go for the intake and exhaust...computer sounds kinda complicated/extremely expensive...don't know that i would know how to work all of that.
