RB's are overrated.

SR's are a great and proven motor. Lots of support nowadays.

But... but... didn't you see fast and the furious 3? They put one in an old mustang and it completely pownzored that 350z!! That means RBs are the shiiizzlenit!!

I'm kidding of course, I actually read that all the drifting scenes were done by V8 power 'stangs. Although apparently the RB powered one really does exist and run. It was some kind of custom job some shop did, and apparently took many months to complete.

I said I have only seen one person go through with it. I never claimed anything about there being only one running one in the country, you added that for whatever reason If I were to mention every car I saw in a magazine/video/etc then id be telling every idiot on here who asks about ridiculous swaps it's possible no problem at all, so and so did it I saw it on an Option video. What validity is there to that?

That does present a problem doesn't it!

Is the OP saying that he wants jgy to do the install? Is so I think you might be able to find a better shop than those fools, but if it gets it done....

If the OP is planning on doing the swap himself, I think he needs to think about how much time he really wants to spend on the rb swap. I've toyed around w/ the idea of doing the swap myself b-4 it was pretty hard to track down parts for it.

I'm not trying to discourage the OP from doing the rb, but if he decides to do it I hope he's near Richmond I'd like to have a look myself.

Keep it simple and do the SR. You will spend a ass ton of money doing the RB and whatever else when you could have just did the SR and possibly have it built and tuned for probably more or less depending on it you do work yourself. You will eventually just get bored with either one. It's your money though.

Heres an honest opinion, why not make the decision yourself?

This discussion has been asked a billion times along with k20/f20c vs b18c, sr vs rb20,25, sr vs ka-t I mean the list goes on and on. Research ask people who have the motors, and base your decision on that.

accutally i would do a 2jz. you can do it way way cheaper and have a better motor in the end.i love nissan but noone can deny that the 2jz is a better motor in stock or modified form. i have seen a few RB swaps and they are not hard to do(the wireing isnt too fun though). and i definatly would not let jgy touch any car i own, that shop is as big of a joke as RPM in richmond.
