i gotta know how much hp your pushing, shit better be more than 600 for me to be impressed at 30psi.
12v VRT put out 240 @ 6psi (t3t4 turbos), at 20 psi I think the dude was at like 480 or so, I've seen VR5s throw out more hp than turbo cars here, daily driven also.

And that 3.0 gt40r @ 28psi isn't impressive. If it was a Honda it would have been well into 600s. Thats a BIG turbo. What does that motor rev to and what size exhaust housing did he have?
I guess VWs tuning software isn't that great? Not knocking, just trying to educate myself.

Even if a VW was mid-engined VR turbo'd at 800whp, there would be something that everyone would bitch about. The guy that owns the car I posted the whiteboard about doesnt come on here. Hell... he barely knows how to use the internets. He's not trying to impress anyone nor am I. The only reason I posted it was to show that VWs can put down a lil' power, too. 400hp isn't too shabby IMO. I drive a near stock 2.0 that gets me where I need to go. The only people I try to impress are my kids (don't tell em my ride is slow!! Lol). I know there are a lot of internet bad-asses out there that are going to ruin ANY thread but this is just sad. It's not gonna ruin my nights sleep or anything and you won't see me heading down to trade in my VW for something more VaDriven approved. I love all you people. For realz. But this just proves there are some things better left to specialty forums. I don't think I've started any VW threads on here in quite a while but I can see this as a clear warning. I'll just be coming here to appreciate the other brands I like in silence from now on.

I'm not knocking the man, I just don't understand how such a big motor doesn't make power when there are 1.6liter motors making more on the same turbo and same psi(or close to it).
And I do appluad him for doing something other than a 1.8t with a chip.
Just answer this. Does his car have god-sinfull ugly offsets with wide ass rear wheels or does he have something that isn't so extreme?
Thats all I'm getting at. I don't understand RWD offsets on a car that is FWD.
Just like ya'll don't understand why we put rotas in +45 offsets on our cars.(in which my example really does look like shit but it's 'accepted' in the honda world, that and other stupid ass fads)

ohh yeah the car that rev'd on me was a blue gti with a front mount and BOV, im supposing those were added for looks because not many people build VW's for speed these days i guess.
