196? even with type R pistons thts only 10.5 or so compression. No way your made 196.
I had a LS/vtec with b16 pistons(11.6:1) and an itr head + a lot nicer bolt on's and made 170ish.

you can make 170hp at the wheels with jdm p30 pistons in ls block and stock b16 head and cams, you should be able to make more. I tuned fast crx's car when it had the ctr pistons and stock itr head and it put down 196 hp and 144 ft tq at the wheel

sigh i miss read earlier i thought he said itr pistons not ctr. Anyway i have a hard time believe ls block with p30's and a b16 head making 170 to the tires. Stock b16's only make 130ish stock, no way is a little bump in compression and a 1.8 block(which is mostly torque) going to net 40whp.
My car was obd0, and only tuned through vafc. It had more in it, but not without swapping out some electronics for 10-15whp.
