Everything is what YOU make it. A city or area isn't just going to throw friends at you and find things to do for you... its more like YOUR observation skills and the people you put yourself around along with the decisions you make... that give you that certain outlook on the city you live in, and if things aren't going well for you.. of course its easier to blame it on the area than your own lack of wisdom.

I actually enjoy the VCU area and the West End. Sure some parts suck, but you have to know where to go.
