There is a big thing between DOT and SNEll. google it to much info about it. Not all helments are made the same. I dont feel like going into it but its not. Weight, air flow, etc..... The link is impact rating

I just posted up a link with the comparison. SNELL is harder, but really the biggest difference is that DOT is based on an "honor system". Thats kinda scary....
