Well i guess you feel diferently about having loved ones on the internet... although not exactly what i had in mind...
Your car is sweet.... it is nice to see you do your own work as i would never have the balls to cut my roof off. Once again i stand corrected.
Anyways as for me making a fool of myself.. lets put it to rest... I have offered this about 15times. Everyone is oh so knowledgeable.. Lets find a C5Z and we can run...
After all that what this whole discussion was about.
i can meet up tonight in the local area is anyone is so inclined to prove that a stock c5 will out run my Silver Dinan S2.

Shawn (NVR KNO) has a stock '01 Z w/ 385 HP (crank rated) PM him.. maybe he's up for a run.

Like i said both on here and on myspace in our communication, i can admit when i was wrong... I would have never imagined then going sub 12 and like i have explained to you even afetr discussing it with people that knwo much more than i, they were on the same sheet as me

The initail problem on bimmerforums was people saying it didnt happen... it has, i have arun them as i have expalined to you.
i would run a mildly modded one... Someone with a tune cai, headers... something around 370-380whp.. jst to dispell the rumor and so everyone can see it for real. Not perfect world scenerios (which wasnt my coment) But real life. Lets do it.. i am more than happy to get my name off of the the turd list as it is far from the truth...
I am not a vette guy... You are lets set it up. then we can see how much of an ass i made out of myself.
Again my original comment was i have pulled c5,s stock c5z's and c6's (non Z06)
Not sure why nobody wants to do this?????

I'm telling you dude... it's been done. Is it common... no. You are correct that your average C5Z will run a 12.5 w/ an average driver. A great driver will be hitting 12.0-12.2 and a great driver w/ a great fall day will hit high 11s at a well prepped track.
