ummmmm because unless the tranny is cassette style it is easier to change the motor.

because i dont know exactly it is that is wrong with the transmission. their is a knocking sound coming from the transmission. i have been told that it MIGHT be the shift fork, but cant tell exactly unless you open the whole motor up.

Sounds like a good deal...should still cost less to have a tranny put in it...had one put in my '91 years ago.

do you think so. because alot of shops around this area have been telling me that it will be cheaper to do the swap. if you know someone who can do it for not exactly cheap but less than its gonna cost me to do a swap, please let me know.
