But you might wanna talk about how come that blacktop has a redtop valve cover. You might be throwing off alot of people. There is one thing the redtop did not have in...or on, the head that all the other sr's do. Until i actually LOOKED at the engine i thought it was a redtop, people that know the difference know what you have, people that might want it for their first SR, wont.

umm correct me if im wrong. but the lines on the block indicate that its a black top or so im told. just has a redtop value cover

 

motor is a blacktop, like he said, the vertical lines on the head indicate that it is a blacktop motor, redtop motor's do not have this

well two things 1) yes it can be a blacktop, and 2) one of the last years that the redtop was made, they had lines on the head, my friend had one, and it took us a month to figure out that it was indeed a redtop.

but anyways clean 13.5!

 

It's a moot arguement guys. It's either a very late redtop or a blacktop with a redtop cover.
