Preparing for a decently long drive
Don't do that. I started falling asleep and waking up the last 90 miles on my way home from a damn 700mile trip that day. Shit SUCKS!
You should be alright Kris. What you named, youll be set. Bring extra money though and check all your tires and fluids. Don't worry about taping your car up

I just don't want any chips. My bumper is in good condition. i'd like to stay away from exra repairs I don't need.
I think someone already said this, but another good bit of advice is to bring enough cash to do what you want. Try not to 100% rely on a card. I had a magnetic strip go bad on a road trip one time and I had zero cash.
instead of tape, use wd40. spray it everywhere you would use tape normally, and its clear, so it doesnt look stupid. unless you like making blue flames out of it, then thats cool. anyways, when you get home or there just wash it off like you normally wash the car it comes right off, doesnt deteriorate the paint, given you dont let the car sit in the sun for a week with it on there, and is clear. also, a good tow chain. a good heavy chain. about two feet long or so. with a loop in one end with nuts and bolts attached to it.
to save your paint, remove bumper and stow in trunk or in cabin out back window, then get one on here, put it on, just to cover DOT and state laws. then re-install your bumper, bring money, underwear, and a mouse, to eat up all the food you'll drop. Good luck
I'm just saying, you've done some not so smart things, so I wanted to be sure you didn't fuck up and stock in NJ. Last time I was in NJ I got White Castle, and had a headache that lasted until the border. Then the food headache kicked in and lasted until I hit the CBBT. Not only did the state fuck me up, the food in the state did too.
