2000 Expedition: Drove through water...wierd problem
-Two days ago I drove through water that was half way up my tire (32's). Truck started to vibrate at low speeds (low rpms)
-Yesterday, truck died as I came to a stop. Restarted, drove to work, truck wants to die at low rpm
-NO codes thrown.
-Truck starts, runs (with vibration) but once the truck is on an incline, or under hard braking it will stall
Any ideas? THanks guys!

LOL, yeah I know what kind of mess that is. I hate dealing with electrical problems. Do you have any idea of where to look? Most electrical problems wouldn't cause shaking I would assume.

Could possibly be the EGR or IAC? Check the air filter out and see what it looks like maybe got wet. Depending on how fast you went through the water will depend on how much or what if any damage you did.

Check your spark plug wires and make sure none of them are arcing, that would cause the vibration and check the voltage of the alternator at the battery when your car is running at idle if you can, should be anywhere from 13.3 to 14.4, May be your alternator. And check your battery. If you take your car to Advance auto parts, they have a computer to check both your battery and your charging system.

Same thing happened to out, drove through a light flood a while back when downtown Norfolk flooded. Started running rough and wanting to cut off when at idle. Ended up being some water got up near the plug wires around the valve cover and corroded.

If its happening when you're braking or going up a high load, it sounds like something vaccuum related. When you hit your brakes, it uses the vaccuum your motor creates. When you're going up a hill, you have more load on the motor and it is pulling less vaccuum as it tries to accellerate due to this.
