90 CRX Apexi Neo tuning
Whats up, I have put a 96-98 JDM D15B vtec motor into our CRX. It is running just fine but it is not engagine the Vtec through the Apexi. Its all wired in and when we first got it going it seemed like it hit the first test drive but now is not hitting. I have gone through instructions to set up the neo but there is alot missing and not sure what all the settings are for. If anyone knows how to Tune that damn box and can help out, that would be awesome. Thanks

Are you not using the stock D15b ECU? If you are, get it running with that before you even mess around with installing a piggyback controller. I'd tell you my opinions about piggybacks, but you probably don't want to hear them.

you cant use the stock ECU, unless you convert the whole car to OBD2
that is way too much work for a little REX
I have modified it a bit, using stock CRX ECU, Wiring, ect. it runs great, just not hitting the Vtec.

That's not a lot of work overall for that car, just an adapter harness and some other wiring changes.
You have much more faith in piggyback electronics than I do apparently. My world view is slightly skewed though.
I actually just asked about the ECU in case someone else wanted to help you out; I don't personally have any interest in troubleshooting with a piggyback in the mix.
