Spring Meet 09, and it wont be no fuckin cookout or any of that bullshit.

Actual car show, sponsors, bass off, the whole shit.

I have other people already working with me. Looking for around April, so plenty of time.

I will make a thread when I feel enough of it is set in stone. Atleast an actual date.

If the meet isn't on the southside you're gonna get the same turnout.

 

This point was brought up and I already plan on it being southside. More than likely VB just because. I just dont know locations there as well as locals would.

you cant expect to change the location a week before it is supposed to happen and have a good turnout. we left the southside about 1 to come out, and after getting stuck in traffic for like an hour, finally got out to NN and ran into some people we knew that had just left the farm park place and said there wasnt anyone at all there.

 

i always went to meets they are usually on sundays....

I got there at 12:15, and I was there until 3:30, then I followed the group that left to NN park. No one was there so I was going back to Riverview just because, then I saw the group at Wendys.

Most of my friends that were originally going to follow me there, were actually too hung over from Halloween night to get up that early. So only 2 of my friends came with me initially. I did post what car I was driving, but whatever.

I did everything I could to make it known about the location change, and the location change was only necessary because of the number of people I was told to expect. I paid twice as much to be able to fill that entire parking lot, and we didn't even see the 50 people I originally paid for.

So to skip past the bullshit, if its official, then expect numbers. To have numbers, need to know in advance. Sooo Spring Meet 09. I'd much rather just make up for a failure than quit over one.

 

Quite honestly i wouldn't worry about trying to make another make up one for spring. I know that I am already in the works with another sumospeed member of hosting another event for the spring. As many know of, I along with another sumo member hosted a great turn out for our past event with rain and everything. This isnt to discourage you, more over to tell you plan a little better, as there will be a serious conflict of interest if you just plan to set one up on the fly after a failed set up. By all means do as you will and feel, just keep in mind its one thing to organize a car "meet" and to organize a fully function car show and hangout. Good luck to you.
