There is plenty of stuff to do in Williamsburg. It can make for a fun afternoon. We like to take the dog up there and walk around Market Square. You can have lunch there, then take a walk down the main street in the Colonial area. You can take a nice drive down colonial parkway and get off at the battlefields in yorktown walk around there, go down to the beach area, swim or fish from the free pier. You can go the opposite direction on Colonial Parkway and go to Jamestown instead if you want a history lesson. There are at least two great parks up there to take bike rides at. Avoid the pottery, it is dirty. The outlet malls are nice though. Plenty of good food up there. You could spend a night at Greatwolf lodge. I recommend a weeknight though, way less busy and less expensive. Pierces BBQ, Doraldo's Italian. The Wine and Cheese shop.
