where is there an MZ dealer anywhere near the area???

MZ no longer imports to the US. In fact, they may go out of production quite soon. There used to be a dealer in Roanoke at a place called "Allsport Cycles." The owner is named Scott. He's a good guy. He can hook you up, and he's taken care of most of the engine mods on my bike. He's a good guy. You can find MZs just about anywhere. The engine is tunable as a guitar, as it's the same engine as in the Yamaha Raptor 660 or an SRX660. It can make over 70bhp, though most (including mine) make just north of 50 bhp. Stock is somewhere between 45 and 50, depending on who you ask.
I'd forgotten that I was on a street tire, hence the muddy mishap. I so often run a more dirt-worthy tread that I forgot to compensate by NOT running in the mud. Oh well.
