The VW "scene" can indeed be credited with a great many trends that have transfered over to other imports.
That said, Diamond racing wheels are NOT one of those trends. These wheels have been around forever. The first person to think up putting them on a road car probably drove some big-block detroit iron in the late 1960's. This is not something VW owners can claim.
while this statement is true, i believe the VW guys were the first to run them solely for looks, not for anything performance related, and we we get them with crazy low offsets, and stretched tires ?
and i know, i was moking people who say stretched tires are not safe to run
