zc91 crx seems like a dick. I don't do autocrass but i love the strip. I have a stock rebuilt ls boosted. That's fine for me. I'm in the 12's and love it. I know 12's shitty but for the little money I have in my car it has surprised a few people. If you stop arguing with them this will end... Quit being a dick.
Oh, and if you would like to debate some more, here is a handy link for you to read, its where...guess what?? a drag setup 2g eclipse Gsx beat....everything on a road course. so now fuck off. kthxbye.

a race is a contest in which the person with the shortest time between the start and finish points is decared the winner. not all races are in a straight line.... you guys saying DSMs are always faster then hondas just makes you retarded. i simply stated that DSMs don't do as well as most hondas do around a road course or auto cross track. i'll put money down on almost any decent built honda at a road course over any DSM any day, i dont care if he has twice the horsepower. its all about useable power and the powerband. your big turbos just aren't effective in and out of close corners.
i know the example i gave was extremly exaggerated..... that was the point. saying one car is always faster than another is ridiculous, different cars perform better under different conditions. while your 1100whp is great for blowing down a drag strip it wont help you at all on a track where your shifting between second and third in and out of corners.

your right though im done arguing.... fuck it.... i guess drag racing is the only kind of racing, and DSM are the fastest cars in the whole world. they're built to handle a billion horsepower right from the factory..... and i should have picked a better platform.

I am not sure before me, but in 07 I would say at least 15 passes. Most of them were at mid boost level around 23-28psi. Also it is the first car that I have actually ran at the track. The car has 24.5's on it. The main thing that brakes gears in a car like mine is the bigger slicks like the 26's which most people are using to get more traction.
He tore the 24.5s down the track. If they were 15inch slicks, I'd get the 24.5s from him. A 500whp car don't tear up slicks like ya'll big boys.
Also, next season. Ima look around for your car at events, I'd like to drop by and say hello.
my point was that are the people claiming DSMs were "faster" cars no matter what are just retarded. i never said they didn't run low quater mile times. let me break it down for you;

i am a dick. i'll always be a dick, especialy when some people get all "i drive the greatest car ever thats faster than all other cars". car people arguing over cars is what we do. and as for me not knowing any thing.... my ASEs say different, but hey think what ever you guys want.

However I wanted to throw this out there, data from personal experience, for the people talking about usable powerband, etc.

Green line is a DSM with a GT35R, boost in the mid-low 30s
Lighter blue (the one directly below the green) is the same DSM but with smaller cams, smaller turbine housing, and the boost turned way down
The next one down, darker red, is a basic bolt on AWD Talon with a stock 14B maxed out pretty much
Next one down, the brighter red, is a K series honda all motor
Bottom of them all, is a stock B16 VTEC with an intake
Looks to me like the small housing 35R and the 14B would deliver far superior road racing or autox powerband vs the all motor cars. Obviously the big housing 35R would be a failure on any track that has a lot of tight turning, as it's strong point will be the straights. The all motor hondas just don't have enough power, bottom line. I think that was the original point. Adding a turbo to the hondas just makes issues more complicated due to traction issues.
Things to keep in mind - when drag racing, you will only be seeing a 2000-3000 RPM window of the powerband. On a DSM the gearing puts it close to 2000ish RPMs per gear
nice.... i like arguments with the facts to back them. props to you sir, if i could plus rep you for that i would.
im honestly in no state to argue power to weight ratios of a b-series swapped EF platform vs. a built turbo DSM like i want to right now.... im going to bed.... damn single malt scotch

Yeah, I know all about that. My best friend has a SFWD car and his motor let loose at MIR last season. He's jumped up from a stock trans to another gearbox which I dont wanna name currently and 26.5s.
He tore the 24.5s down the track. If they were 15inch slicks, I'd get the 24.5s from him. A 500whp car don't tear up slicks like ya'll big boys.
My car sits broken all the time... is it a race car :P

I am still going to be running the 24.5's until I can get the money to step up to a better trans that will not break on the 26's. I still have to get the car retuned with the 1600 and a 5 bar to make more power.
Pm me the name of the trans if you don't mind so I know to either look at them or stay away from them.
