I never like the S that much, was a bigger fan of the regular sv650. it had a bad ass look to it. The S had an extra tooth in the gear or something, and there were a few modications over the non s model.

Over all, its one of the best 650's out there. I've read that they made some significant changes to the braking and engine issues but good choice of bike.

if you're gonna fighter it, get a sv650n which stands for nekid..yes that's the right spelling, they are also cheaper. also, i think anything below '02 are NON FI.

smack an acerbis headlight on that mofo and some handlebar clip ons, you're good to go.
yeah i think too.. i can to try ask for a little drop about few hundreds

+1 That is too high for an 01 even with only 7K miles on it. Like he said it is not Fuel Injected so keep that in mind. There is a little more maintanence involved. i believe like he said 02 and under have carbs. Bikes with carbs are no biggie to me they just shouldnt be asking that much for it.

its actually 03

I have an 02, and i it also used to be an S model... I dont htink $3000 is such a bad deal assuming that bike is perfect. doesnt need tires, chain, sprockets ect... at 7k miles it shouldnt need any major maintenence.

here's the progress my 02 SVs made.

This is the pic that was shown to me

Sometime down the line i added a race mt exhaust db screen sv1000 belly pan gsxr shock. sonic springs blah blah blah blah!!!
and ended up with this

THEN, i said... FUQIT!!! and did what i initially planned ot do with the bike since the day i got it.

Fuel injected makes more power, but its the same crap when it comes to maint and all.. you still have to sync and all... so, no difference.
