As some of you know, I messed up my engine this past weekend. Well today I took it apart and found out that the number 4 cylinder bearing got way to hot and it basically started to melt. WEIRD!!!!! Bearing did not spin, so I think this really saved me a lot of money. Another possible cause could be crankshaft flex.

Just got back from abacus and chuck said that the crank was not good. He mic it and it didnt have enough metal for him to cut for new bearings. We looked at the clearences for ACL and clevite bearings. BOOOO.....now I have to find another short block or crank. The positive side of this is that my block is clean as hell. Now time to hunt down a crankshaft.
