First there is a crack in the turbo mani(will be fixed as soon as it stops raining) But when I first start and drive the car I smell what smells like a struck match.... Wierd right? Anyone else ever have this happen? Know what it is? It is a d16z6,turbo, exhaust, etc etc.

theres sulfur in gas so maybe your just smelling the exhaust fumes leaking from the manifold crack since its not being ran threw any cat

hmmm..... premium gas plus a nice crack in the turbo mani = gas fumes......... thanks alot i was hoping it wasnt some kind of something burning....what?

yea sounds like a good guess to me, since you first started smelling it after the crack , and gasoline contains sulfur and sulfur is what you smell when you lite a match so it all add's up imo lol

ya i think as the crack got worse the smell got stronger...... got the mani just waiting for the rain to stop

yes rain sucks , and a welder and rain dont go hand and hand haha
