Default Brand new brakes screeching?

Hey guys,
I recently had my rear brakes on a 99 cherokee replaced, and they have been consistently squeeking when i brake at low speeds. I had thought they just needed to be broken in at first, but it's been over a month and the noise really irritates me.
Any insight?
also, sorry if this is a noob question.
thanks.

If you went to Autozone or Advance and bought the cheapest pads you could, that's why they squeak. Semi-metallics/organics squeak a shit ton.

Get some Ceramic pads, but try some "DISC BRAKE QUIET" from the Auto parts store. Read the directions before using it though.

BTW, just read it was for the rear. Are they pads or shoes? If they're shoes try cleaning them and re-adjusting them.

you need to put that anti-vibration stuff on the back of the pads before they are installed. Its like a dollar for a small pack. Always apply and let sit for 10 min to harden up before installing pads

whoever put them on forgot to grease them and thats why they squeak. i am a tech and everytime brakes are changed they need to be greased on the back side of the pad. the back side of the pad is rubbing on the caliper.

First guess is cheap pads/shoes. They squeal every time.

Also could be a lack of grease, or lack of adjustment on shoes.
