Langley Speedway's Wacky Wednesday
I think the time trials being started from a stand still is a great idea, there are entirely to many retards out there no matter how many times you tell them WHEN and HOW to pull out and to keep speed .... theres always one or two retards that fuck up someones lap.
I think this would definatly keep that amount down.
All the ideas youve posted Dale I think would definatly improve the event .... maybe up the burnout prize money? It was sad seeing 2 cars each week do it ..... gotta make it worth it for people to go out and melt their tires .... $50 bucks is just kinda ..... eh. Even $100 is a nice prize.
Also somehow get the crowd more involved, obviously you know the budweiser section holds it down ..... but maybe leave it up to them (being the crowd usually knows alot more about the two cars on the track) on how far you staggar them. Obviously each and every time we are going to put Carlos in turn 4 unless he shaves his mustasce then he can start with a regular staggar

1. Change the time attacks from a rolling start to a standing start just like the drags are. That way you can compare apples to apples when it comes to picking your races. Also, it'll be a bit easier on the cars.
Personally don't like this idea because i'd loose the advantage of being at speed going across the start. Gonna make it really hard for someone to win w/o boost or a v-8. Give the NA 4 bangers a chance at the $$!
2. (my favorite) Instead of an A Main and a B Main, how about a "PRO" class and a "SPORTSMAN" class? That way cars like the vette, Mustangs and Carlos will race themselves and the more stock cars will have their class.

how would you put folks in the pro class? Im on the edge about that one.. hard to manage.. I drive mine to the track... I think it your asking for trouble... I think a safty check would be good.. the one on ones pickem is good... the time trials wont work from a stop...

I live in Chesapeake, and always had the mindset of not giving a flying fuck if i wreck it, obviously the dakota wasnt like the blue one .... I wasnt really going to win a damn thing .... just go out there and destroy a truck for the crowd eventually .... it finally happend.

I think the sportsman class would be hard to control..
Maybe have a rookie class and if its your 1st season your in the rookie class.... base it off time trials.. some one 24 seconds or more they are in their own class. it tough to figure out.,. I like langley and I knew going into it I'd have to pony up some cash to get to the winners cirlcle.. I say leave it how it is and just have fun..
Its a good crowd both above and below the fence. maybe some more advertisements and you'd get more of a turn out. I have a blast and agin fullly intend on driveing odwn a time or 2 over the year..
You would do more damage to a car doing the stand still starts than the rolling starts...
