Rust Revival 2009
There was a ton of cool cars. The show was in a redneck town in Missouri. Coolest part was there were no cops, everyone could walk around the town drinking beer, occasional burnouts, overall redneck stunts, without any trouble from the police. My buddy bought an old '57 Mercury from a guy for the show for $100. The car had sat in his barn since the late '50s and had only 20,xxx original miles on it. He put a new fuel pump, battery, and cleaned the points, changed the fluids, and it started up and ran like a champ! But I forgot to take pictures of it lol.
1. HDR. I think I liked this car the best

Rat Rods are the origin of all automotive trends! I respect the hell out of the idea behind it. I just hate when people put shiny new parts and brand new corvette motors into them. That's when it gets dumb.
how is it the origin? There are no rare expensive parts, no performance modifications. It's a redneck attempt at a hot rod lol there's no pleasing me though in this matter I'll just duck out of this thread lol
most have built ass motors and built drivetrains...it takes a lot of fabrication work to get them that low and still look rusty...
and most are not cheaply built...i have freinds with some that have 15 grand in them...
and the rare and expensive parts...ever looked for a 6 single carb setup for a nailhead??
what about a triple duece setup for a 409??
both of those are rare and will set you back a few grand
